Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his initial title for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid year, managing just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in particular - caused him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with former coach his previous coach.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.
It is his maiden title since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard court since spring of 2023.
Success also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to get a title is particularly special," stated tennis professional the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his ability to perform at the top level was over.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to advance forward and perform aggressively, backed up by an improved serve.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult opponent, taking 4 of the final five points to take the lead.
The pair traded service breaks in the following set before the challenger, striving for his first tour championship, took control to force a decider.
Moutet saved four early break points in a competitive deciding set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev secured victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
